Investing in Investment Mutual Funds
What is an investment mutual fund?
It is a product that gathers the contributions of different individuals or entities in order to invest them jointly, so as to benefit from the improved conditions offered only to large investors.
Funds are managed by professionals, who invest the investor's overall funds in a variety of assets and markets, so as to avoid concentrating risk in just a few assets and to reach markets which would be very difficult to reach individually.
It is important to know that all funds are different and that they have different risk levels, depending on the goals you are aiming at.
Investments in fund shares do not constitute deposits in Banco de Valores S.A. For the purposes of the Financial Entities Law, they do not have any of the guarantees that such demand or term deposits may enjoy in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations regarding deposits in financial entities. Likewise, Banco de Valores S.A. is prevented by regulations of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic from assuming, tacitly or expressly, any commitment regarding the maintenance, at any time, of the value of the invested capital, the yield, the redemption value of the shares or the granting of liquidity for this purpose.
