What´s a mutual fund?

A mutual fund pools contributions from different individuals with similar profiles to invest them collectively. Each fund is managed by professionals who invest the total assets of the fund in various assets and markets. By choosing mutual funds, investors can avoid concentrating risk in a few assets and gain access to markets that may be difficult to reach individually.
